Con esta\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ejaypee.com\/products\/9789366160993\"><strong>segunda edici\u00f3n de \u2018Text and Atlas on Corneal Pigmentation\u2019<\/strong><\/a>, el catedr\u00e1tico de Oftalmolog\u00eda e Investigador de Honor de la Universidad Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez (UMH) de Elche actualiza los conocimientos sobre la pr\u00e1ctica de la t\u00e9cnica quir\u00fargica corneal denominada queratopigmentaci\u00f3n. Una\u00a0<strong>novedosa t\u00e9cnica estudiada durante m\u00e1s de 16 a\u00f1os<\/strong>\u00a0junto a su equipo en Alicante, que permite\u00a0<strong>recuperar la apariencia normal de ojos deformes<\/strong>\u00a0gracias al uso de pigmentos corneales.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cEsta segunda obra ilustra en sus distintos cap\u00edtulos los avances de una\u00a0<strong>nueva alternativa terap\u00e9utica real para solucionar problemas funcionales<\/strong>, como albinismo, aniridia o visi\u00f3n doble intratable. instrumentos, tecnolog\u00edas y t\u00e9cnicas quir\u00fargicas<\/strong>\u00a0que han revolucionado este campo. As\u00ed, en este libro del reconocido cirujano ocular se destacan, tanto\u00a0<strong>aplicaciones terap\u00e9uticas como est\u00e9ticas<\/strong>, centr\u00e1ndose en los detalles quir\u00fargicos de su pr\u00e1ctica, posibles complicaciones y, especialmente, resultados. Todo el contenido se basa en la evidencia con un\u00a0<strong>enfoque educativo y m\u00e9dico respaldado por publicaciones cient\u00edficas revisadas por pares<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>El fundador de Vissum Miranza,\u00a0<strong>primero en describir estos nuevos m\u00e9todos en 2016<\/strong>, ha recopilado la informaci\u00f3n procedente de las publicaciones m\u00e1s relevantes, contando con la\u00a0<strong>colaboraci\u00f3n de los autores m\u00e1s destacados\u00a0<\/strong>con experiencia contrastada.<\/p>\n<p>El libro, editado por Jaypee Brothers, fue\u00a0<strong>presentado inicialmente en Nueva Delhi<\/strong>, en el 40\u00ba Congreso de la Academia de Oftalmolog\u00eda Asia-Pac\u00edfico (APAO) y 83\u00aa Conferencia Anual de la Sociedad Oftalmol\u00f3gica de toda la India (AIOS). Pero, el\u00a0<strong>lanzamiento p\u00fablico fue en el \u2018<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kolor-congress.org\/\"><strong>II KOLOR Congress<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u2019<\/strong>, celebrado el 30 y 31 de mayo en Dub\u00e1i.<\/p>\n<p>Como\u00a0<strong>presidente del comit\u00e9 cient\u00edfico<\/strong>\u00a0de la segunda edici\u00f3n del \u2018KOLOR Congress\u2019, el Dr. Ali\u00f3\u00a0<strong>anunci\u00f3 la Sociedad Internacional de Queratopigmentaci\u00f3n<\/strong>\u00a0(KIS, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) y ofreci\u00f3\u00a0<strong>cinco conferencias<\/strong>.
