No. As your appearance has changed, you will have to proceed to change the photos from all your identity documents after this surgical intervention. The iris-based identity recognition systems will also change their results after the operation.

As in any surgical procedure that involves your health and wellbeing, there is a scheduled compulsory meeting between the patient and the surgeon where all the details regarding it should be clarified.

It will be organized by BlueGreen and take place in person, or remotely, at least 15 days before the operation. During this meeting you will have the chance to talk freely with the surgeon in charge of the operation, about the risks involved and the particularities related to your medical history.

Yes, corrective surgery for myopia, astigmatism and hyperopia can be performed after the keratopigmentation procedure. If you also want to have refractive surgery (surgery to correct nearsightedness, astigmatism, farsightedness or presbyopia), you should consult your BlueGreen Medical surgeon for a pre-operative topography.

Yes. In fact, you will be able to resume your everyday activities, including sports (and even the aquatic ones), in a period of 3 days after the intervention. Same indication for the makeup.

Can I undergo a brain scan with MRI after the operation?2022-05-04T18:40:41+02:00

Blue and green pigments do not contain iron pigments, so their presence in the eye would not affect this kind of procedures in any way.

Brown pigments, though, do contain a small amount of iron that could cause a slight increase in the temperature of the eye, without consequences.

If you work in an environment with magnetic fields, for example, healthcare professionals working in radiology units, airport security arcs, and jobs in magnetic fields environments you should tell the surgeon so they can choose the most suitable pigment for your particular case.

From very close and under intense lighting, an attentive person will be able to see that the color of your eyes has been retouched. From about 50 cm away, and under moderate lighting, the eye appears natural. In the evening and by a low light the coloration is less visible.

No. For ethical and aesthetic reasons, we only perform operations on both eyes, and with the same color.

It is usual and completely normal to experience a slight blurred vision in the next hours after the surgery, although you will be able to resume your normal activities with no help. The following morning your vision will be much clearer, and finally will return to normal in a few days.

As in any surgery, you may experience some discomfort after the procedure.
20-30% of the patients feel sensitivity to the light and a moderate irritation during a few days after surgery.
It can be totally controlled by taking the prescribed pain killers and will disappear gradually.
